Introduction

Welcome to the City of Canton’s Marietta Road Community Initiative webpage! Your direct source for information about the project, process, and means to become involved in creating the vision for the future of the Marietta Road corridor.

This webpage will be updated throughout the planning process with event information, data downloads, and draft plan documents. The planning and analysis happening now will shape Sunnyside for years to come. Project Overview

As development is shifting from downtown to the River, it is important that the entry point to the City along Exit 16 is attractive, clean, safe, and also moving forward. This project will work hand-in-hand with the Council and the neighborhood to make sure that the City is helping to drive economic investment into the Marietta Road area to include opportunities for commercial and residential investment, activation of public park space, improvement for transportation and infrastructure, and community pride.
