The permitting and inspection process promotes high-quality design standards as well as the conservation, rehabilitation and reuse of the City's existing buildings.

Schedule an Inspection
(effective 9/27/2020 )
- All inspections must be requested and scheduled via LAMA Permitting Portal
- Contractors, Registered Design Professional and Public Users (homeowners) must set up account and register to create a new user account in order to schedule inspection(s). View the LAMA Permitting Portal with help videos, instructions and printable forms.
- Inspections not scheduled online may be requested in person at City Of Canton Building and Safety Services, 110 Academy Street, Room 219. Please call 770-704-0100 if you have any questions.
Preparing for Annual Fire Inspection
Annual Fire Inspections are not scheduled with the customer, but occur on an annual basis. We recommend that customers prepare using the following documents and email Jay Kula at jay.kula@cantonga.gov.
