Canton 2045: Comprehensive Plan 

The update to the City’s Comprehensive Plan outlined citywide priorities and policies, working towards a unified vision for Canton in 2045. The plan evaluated conditions and put forth an organized approach that the City can implement to make informed long-term planning decisions that enhance the quality of life of their residents. The plan will cover a variety of topics such as land use, housing, transportation and economic development.

The City of Canton is preparing an update to the Comprehensive Plan, an exciting process to decide on key principles that will guide the city’s decision-making for the next 20 years.

A Comprehensive Plan most importantly needs to reflect the voices of the city’s residents. Thus, the process for creating the plan includes several opportunities for the public to voice opinions and to comment on in-progress plan materials.

This survey is an opportunity to share your thoughts about the future of the City of Canton. Your input will help guide preliminary planning concepts to be generated through a series of public meetings to be held throughout the planning process. The survey is organized into multiple sections: questions about the components of the Plan, demographics, and other general questions.
