The City of Canton has officially announced the dates and headliners for its ever popular River Rock Music Fest! July 26 & 27, the City will take over the gorgeous riverside Etowah River Park for a two-day weekend of music, food, and fun!

Local Bryce Leatherwood, the winner of season 22 of The Voice, will hit the stage at 8 p.m., on Fri., July 26, to charm concertgoers with his traditional country music flair. Popular 90s Country music artist Mark Chesnutt will close out the Music Fest on Sat., July 27, by taking it back to the classics where Country music began.

Bryce Leatherwood
Born and raised in Woodstock, GA, singer/songwriter Bryce Leatherwood’s passion for music began at an early age. Working on his grandfather’s farm every summer, Leatherwood was exposed to the classic country hits of George Jones, Merle Haggard and Conway Twitty. He soon began picking up guitars and playing the traditional country music that inspires him today.

His music career began to blossom in Statesboro, GA, where he attended Georgia Southern University. While in college, Leatherwood formed his band and began playing all around the Southeast. After graduating college, Leatherwood competed on the NBC hit television show The Voice and was crowned the Season 22 winner in December.

Leatherwood moved to Nashville where he has been songwriting and recording for a project on Universal Music Group Nashville/Republic Records, the first of which is "The Finger," out now. Leatherwood continues to perform live shows, including opening several tour dates for Dwight Yoakum.

Mark Chesnutt
Mark Chesnutt is one of Country’s true musical treasures. Critics have hailed him as a classic Country singer of the first order and some of Country music’s most elite entertainers, from George Jones to George Strait, echo the sentiment.

Mark Chesnutt’s stature is easily gauged. He has 14 No. 1 hits, 23 top ten singles, four platinum albums and five gold records to his credit. Now, some twenty-odd years later, Mark Chesnutt marches on to preserve and honor the splendid works of the sculpturing forefathers, George Jones and Waylon Jennings, to bring music from the honky tonks right back to where country music began.

With a trademarked voice, Chesnutt has set the bar for his generation and those that follow in his footsteps shaping the music of today’s country music newcomers and the new country music format.
