The City of Canton is sponsoring the Rivers Alive - Etowah River Cleanup event this year on Saturday, October 23, from 9 AM - 1 PM, starting at 180 McClure St., Canton, GA 30114.
Rivers Alive, a program of the Georgia Environmental Protection Division Outreach Program, is Georgia's annual volunteer waterway cleanup event that targets all waterways in the state, including streams, rivers, lakes, beaches, and wetlands. The mission of Rivers Alive is to create awareness of and involvement in the preservation of Georgia's water resources.
Volunteers are needed! Registration is encouraged to participate, but not required. Breakfast and lunch are included. Wear old clothes and shoes; Gloves and trash bags will be provided.
