The Invaders- A Musical Tribute to the British Invasion

THE INVADERS - A Musical Tribute To The British Invasion

Rock and Roll was born in the 1950s with the likes of Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly, and Little Richard.  But as a new decade approached, the fresh and exciting musical style began to fade away.  In the early 1960s it was believed that "guitar groups were on their way out." However, in late 1963, a band from Liverpool, England released a song called "I Want To Hold Your Hand" that quickly hit the top of the US charts. This band, called The Beatles, performed on the Ed Sullivan Show on February 9th, 1964, and Beatlemania swept across the country. Immediately following the sudden success of The Beatles, countless bands from the United Kingdom emerged and ruled the Billboard charts for the next few years. This phenomenon simply became known as the BRITISH INVASION.

Celebrating the music of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, The Animals, The Who, The Hollies, Manfred Mann, The Yardbirds, The Dave Clark Five, The Zombies, The Troggs, and many other great artists of the British Invasion!
